CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS (CFP)

 
SIOR and the Center for Career Advancement encourage SIOR members and industry practitioners to share their expertise by submitting a proposal for a session at an SIOR conference. Presenting a session helps you with your own professional development as well as provides excellent networking opportunities and exposure. Submit a proposal for an upcoming conference session today!

Required Information
All session proposals must be submitted on the Call for Presentations submission form. Proposals that do not include all requested information will not be considered for presentation. All submissions must include the following information:


1. Organizer Information
2. Program Information (Title, Format, Outline, Description, Learning Objectives)
3. Speaker/Presenter Information (if different from Organizer Information)
4. Speaker/Presenter References

Selection Process
All proposals are reviewed by the Breakout Subcommittee of the Conference Education Committee, comprised of 10-15 industry professionals. The group schedules conference calls, as needed, to review program proposals and ideas. It is the intention of the subcommittee to finalize programming six-to-eight months prior to the conference.

Rules and Regulations
1. All sessions are approximately 90 minutes in length.
2. Proposals must be submitted by the following deadline:

Spring World Conferences December 1
Fall World Conferences April 1

3. There is no limit to the number of sessions proposed by any one person; however, a separate form must be submitted for each session proposal.
4. All speakers must be identified by the time of submission.
5. SIOR will not provide speaker honoraria, fees, or travel reimbursement/compensation.
6. Sessions featuring a non-member speaker will receive one (1) complimentary registration.
7. Session proposals that do not include a timed outline with learning objectives will not be considered for presentation.
8. All presenters are required to use their personal laptops for their presentations. SIOR will provide a projector, screen, microphones, etc.


Selection Notification
Notification of acceptance is made via e-mail within six (6) weeks of the submission deadline.
