Join fellow SIOR conference attendees for a night of speed at the Lowe's Motor Speedway.  You won't want to miss the exhilarating experience of being behind the wheel of an authentic Nextel Cup race car.  Whether you want to drive, ride or just come to watch...there's an option for everyone! 

Option A: Checkered Flag
Drive more laps at faster speeds! Your hands are on the wheel for two thrilling sessions for a total of 18 laps. Following the checkered flag, you’ll get feedback from an instructor on the pit road and then head back out on the track for another session.

*Please note the following height and weight restrictions for those interested in driving:
Max Height: 6’7"
Max Weight: 300 lbs.

Option B: Champ Ride
Sit back and enjoy the ride! As a passenger, you will feel the rush of a qualifying run with one of Jeff’s professional drivers behind the wheel. Find out what these cars are really made of as you take both the green and checkered flags. The speed and g-force alone make the Champ Ride a once-in-a-lifetime experience. (3 total laps around the track)

Price: $181.95 (inclusions: drive w/ professional instructor, dinner, beverages (non-alcoholic), transportation to/from, applicable taxes & gratuities)

Option C: Dinner Only
Come along just to network or enjoy an evening of fun!

N.C. Research Campus                           Thursday, October 26: 8:30am - 11:30am

The North Carolina Research Campus (NCRC) under way in Kannapolis promises to enrich and bolster North Carolina the way the Research Triangle Park (RTP) changed the Raleigh-Durham region. Not since the world-renowned RTP opened in 1965 has the state welcomed an economic development project with such far-reaching potential.

Join representatives from Castle & Cook, developers for this project, for an overview and brief tour of the construction site underway.

Whitewater Park Optional Night       Friday, October 27: 6:30pm - 10:00pm

 

 


Charlotte is now home to the US National Whitewater training facility, a one of a kind whitewater park. This is the site of training for the U.S. Olympic kayak team and other professional and amateur whitewater enthusiasts. SIOR has rented out the park for our Friday night optional event so join fellow conference attendees for food, drink, entertainment, and if you are feeling adventurous, climb in a professionally guided raft and take on the rapids yourself! This will be one optional event that you do not want to miss!

Option A: Dinner and Rafting
Hop into a raft with a professional guide and hold on tight!  This exciting ride will be followed by dinner.
Price:
$99 (includes riding the rapids, dinner, beer and wine, and transportation to/from the Westin).

Option B: Dinner Only
Enjoy the action from a dry seat overlooking the rapids.
Price: $74 (includes dinner, wine and beer, and transportation to/from the Westin).


Women's Networking Dinner:                   Saturday, October 28: 7:00pm

Female attendees are invited to join in on a networking dinner. This is not a pre-paid event; the meal bill will be split equally among participants at the conclusion of the meal. Please RSVP via your conference registration form in order for reservations to be made on your behalf. Transportation not provided. Please be prepared to share a short taxi ride.
