Air Travel
Los Angeles, the United States’ second largest city after New York, sprawls along the Pacific coast of   southern California.  Arriving by plane gives a good first impression of the city. From out of this vast flat grid of streets and buildings, there rises a cluster of imposing skyscrapers to mark Downtown - 26km (16 miles) inland from the coast. To the northeast is Pasadena; to the west and northwest are Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Century City, as well as the wide San Fernando Valley; to the south is Long Beach and along the west coast are Santa Monica, Venice Beach and Marina del Rey.  LAX is the world's fifth-busiest airport, handling almost 58 million passengers in 2005. It is particularly important as the US gateway to the Pacific.

Attire
The attire for all convention activities is resort casual: men - slacks, dress shorts, or sports shirts and women - pants, dress shorts, casual dresses or skirts.

Badges
Convention educational and networking activities are open to all registered individuals.. Your badge is proof of registration, so please wear it to all convention functions, including receptions and meals. 

Chapter Welcoming Table
Visit with our hosts, the Greater Los Angeles Chapter. They will be available to help orient attendees and make local restaurant and entertainment recommendations.

Climate
In May, Los Angeles averages a high of 73° f and a low of 57°f.  It is one of the best times of the year to visit with mostly clear days and little fog.

Exhibitor Raffle
All registered members and non-members will receive an exhibitor passport in their registration packet.  In order to be entered into the raffle, visit all participating exhibitors' booths to have your passport initialed.  Winners will be drawn during lunch on Saturday, May 5.  You must be present to win!
