Fun Shoot:                                                          Tuesday, May 1: 8:30am - 4:00pm

 


 

Beretta Gallery Dallas is proud to host the Spring 2007 Training and Fun Shoot  the Triple B Clays Shotgun Sports Park.  Register for training and shooting, or just afternoon shooting activities. 

Morning Training
• Bus departs hotel at 8:30am for those who wish to participate in the training
• 10:00am-noon
• Licensed instructors that can help everyone improve their shot, whether you are a beginner or an expert

Price: $300 per person (fun shoot is an additional cost)
Price includes transportation, instructor, shells, targets and lunch
  

Afternoon Fun Shoot Activities
• Lunch and registration begin at noon
• Bus departs from hotel at 10:30am if you do not want to participate in the training prior to the Fun Shoot

• Small groups will be arranged according to skill level

Los Angeles / Long Beach Port Tour:  Wednesday, May 2: 8:00am-5:00pm

The ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles ("The World Ports") combined rank as the busiest port complex in the nation.  This tour will examine how a vast quantity of goods moves from these ports through the supply chain and will demonstrate their impact on regional and national markets.

 Highlights of the tour include:

  • A guided boat tour of the ports including lunch.
  • The Inter-modal Container Transfer Facility (ICTF), a near-dock rail yard located approximately five miles from the ports.
  • The Alameda Corridor, the 20-mile railway connecting the ports and Southern California's major railheads to the east.
  • A local real estate project which is influenced by its proximity to the World Ports.
Speakers will include leading authorities on international logistics as well as the local infrastructure which serves the ports.

Sony Studios Walking Tour:                       Friday, May 4: 1:00pm - 4:00pm

The Sony Pictures Studio Tour takes guests back into a legendary time.  Location on one of the world's most famous studio lots, this two hour walking tour gives a rare, intimate glimpse into old Hollywood's glory days and an insider's view of this state-of-the-art motion picture studio.  As the site of multiple movie and television productions, you never know who will be just around the corner on any given day!

                                                

Not only is this the studio where the Yellow Brick Road once wound through Munchkin Land, it is also the place where the agents from Men In Black battled aliens from outer space and Spider-Man catapulted from skyscraper to skyscraper.  Dynamic tour guides will shed light on the film and television production process by taking guests to various soundstages and by sharing tales of days gone by.  Guests may even have the chance to visit the sets of the hit game shows Jeopardy! or Wheel of Fortune.

Trip to the J. Paul Getty Center:                 Friday, May 4: 1:00pm - 5:45pm

Treasures on the Hilltop Tour
Set high on the dramatic hilltop overlooking Los Angeles, the Getty Center sits on 110 acres of the Santa Monica Mountains, surrounded by gardens and terraces that provide sweeping views of Los Angeles, the mountains, and the ocean. The J. Paul Getty Museum houses European paintings, drawings, sculpture, illuminated manuscripts, decorative arts, and European and American photographs.

Five two-story pavilions, interconnected around an open central courtyard, house the ever-changing exhibitions and the expanding permanent collection.  Upon arrival, guest will board a tram which will take them to the top of the hill to the museum's buildings.  They will then have the afternoon to explore the many sky-lit rooms of masterpieces.

Hollywood Behind the Scenes Tour:               Friday, May 4: 1:00pm - 6:00pm

Relive the past and feel the experiences of the stars as you walk the path of the greats in show business in a 3-block radius of downtown Hollywood.  This one hour walking tour blends the history of Hollywood with captivating architecture along both sides of Hollywood Boulevard.  You will be guided through the Roosevelt Hotel, the El Capitan Theater and the Egyptian Theater, pointing out what used to exist during Hollywood's "heyday".  Other highlights include the Masonic Temple and Grauman's Chinese Theater, which features the handprints of the stars in the entrance courtyard.

You will travel back in time to the golden era of Hollywood as you explore famous Hollywood landmarks and attractions such as the Walk of Fame, the Hollywood Museum and the Hollywood & Highland Retail and Entertainment Complex.  This will be an unforgettable day as you step behind the velvet ropes for a tour of the Kodak Theatre (home of the Academy Awards).  You will have a chance to see an actual Oscar statuette, visit the exclusive George Eastman VIP room and see where the ceremonies all happen.

Petersen Automotive Museum:            Friday, May 4: 1:00pm - 6:00pm           

At the Petersen, guests will learn about the history of automobiles, technology, science and culture.  The automobile put Los Angeles on the fast track into the 21st century, shaping how Angelinos live and travel.  Preservation of significant automobiles has been a commitment of the Petersen Museum since 1932.  Guests walk though time as they enter the first floor, experiencing the authentic scenes, lifestyles and actual vehicles that marked the milestones of the motorcar and Los Angeles, complete with exciting sights and sounds around each historic corner.  The second floor consists of galleries displaying innovative and rotating exhibits, Treasures of the Vault, Hollywood Star Cars, the Bruce Myer Gallery and the Otis Chandler Gallery.
