If registrations do not meet minimums posted, you will be notified and
may choose to attend another tour or a receive a refund. Registration
deadline dates will vary - please view the description of each event to
see the deadline dates.
All tours will depart from the Grand Hyatt San Antonio. Tickets
for tours and events will be in your
registration envelope available at the SIOR Registration Desk during
posted registration hours. Tour registration deadlines are as posted per
tour. If available, additional tickets may be sold on–site on a
first-come, first-served basis at the SIOR
Registration Desk.
Should you cancel your registration (Must be received in writing) prior
to the cancellation deadline, a $25 service charge will be deducted from
your refund. Cancellations will not be accepted after the cancellation
deadline.
Individuals with special needs should indicate that need on the
registration form.

DESCRIPTION |
|
Today’s tour
includes highlights of San Antonio’s unique historic venues. The first
stop is the Tower of the Americas where guests are treated to “Skies
Over Texas”, a sophisticated virtual ride that takes its visitors on a
high-flying trip across the Lone Star State. Next, guests are escorted
to the elevator and travel up to the Tower’s observation deck where they
enjoy the scenery.
After Tower of
America’s, guests will drive by the Alamo. The defeat of The Alamo has
come to symbolize courage and sacrifice for the cause of liberty. In
1836, a small band of Texans held out for thirteen days against the army
of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna.
The last stop on
today’s tour is El Mercado, the largest Mexican market outside of
Mexico. “El Mercado” dates from 1840 and is meant to resemble a
traditional Mexican market. It is the perfect place to shop for
beautiful handmade folk art, clothing, jewelry and leather goods.

When San Antonians
plan to dine on the river they literally mean on the river. Tonight,
guests have the opportunity to dine in this uniquely local style as they
board brightly painted river barges and enjoy appetizers and cocktails
on their private dining cruiser.
Knowledgeable
drivers navigate the barges through the main channels of the river,
pointing out landmarks and answering questions about San Antonio’s
famous Paseo Del Rio. You won't want to miss this networking
opportunity!

- The River barges may be cancelled due to inclement weather predictions
at the discretion of Rio San Antonio Cruises.
- Temperatures below forty degrees, down pours, heavy rains lightning,
thunderstorms, high and gusty winds exceeding (25) mph may be considered
a reason for cancellation.
- All guests
must arrive at the departure point (15) minutes prior to scheduled pick
up time ready to board
- Barge will
depart promptly at 7:30 pm.
