The SIOR Foundation is pleased to support commercial real estate education and is proud to match SIOR Chapter scholarships to students in undergraduate and graduate real estate and business related degree programs. The Foundation matches up to $6,000 each fiscal year to any SIOR chapter scholarship program. (The SIOR Foundation fiscal year begins September 1 and ends August 31.)

Who Can Apply for Matching Chapter Scholarship Awards?

Only recognized SIOR Chapters and their representatives may submit applications for matching funds. Individual inquiries on Chapter scholarship programs may be directed to the local Chapter. For more information on SIOR Chapters, please refer to SIOR Chapters. It is at the discretion of each SIOR Chapter to set the criteria for their awards program.

For individuals seeking scholarships to educational programs outside undergraduate and graduate degree programs, please consider submitting a grant request application. Please see Submit Grant Proposal.

How Can a SIOR Chapter Apply for Matching Scholarship Awards?

To download the SIOR Foundation Scholarship Request application form, please click here. The Chapter should submit an application for each designated scholarship recipient along with supporting documents, i.e. transcripts, essays, etc., to SIOR Foundation, 1201 New York Avenue, NW, Suite 350, Washington, DC 20005.

How Much Can a Chapter Request in Matching Scholarships?

The Foundation will match any scholarship up to a maximum of $6,000 per SIOR Chapter per SIORF fiscal year to a student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate real estate or business-related degree program. There is no restriction to the SIOR Chapter on the number of student recipients or the amount granted to any one student. Matching grants are awarded to the SIOR Chapter, not to the individual.

How Should the Chapter Recognize the SIOR Foundation Matching Scholarship?

In return for the matching grant(s), the SIOR Foundation must be recognized as a co-sponsor of the scholarship. The Foundation strongly encourages Chapters to award scholarships at public presentations so that both the SIOR Chapter and SIOR Foundation can receive recognition for their contributions.

Any further inquiries may be directed to Linda Wilson at 202.449.8238.

Thank you for your support of commercial real estate education.
