Mildred C. Hanson, SIOR Memorial Scholarship
Thanks to the generous
donations of many SIORs, the Mildred C. (Millie) Hanson, SIOR
Memorial Fund, which was established to honor and support women
in commercial real estate, will grant a $4,000 scholarship to
outstanding junior or senior undergraduate female student in an accredited real
estate program at a college or university in the United States

David T. Houston Jr., SIOR Memorial
Established in 2010, the David T. Houston Jr., SIOR
Memorial Fund has instituted an educational scholarship program intended to encourage and promote education for outstanding and deserving individuals within the commercial real estate industry.
A $2500 scholarship will be awarded to an active, qualified
commercial real estate professional with a minimum of 3 years
experience in the United States or Canada to obtain continuing
education to advance his/her knowledge and career in the field
of commercial real estate.

SIOR Chapter Matching Scholarship Program
In the fiscal year
ending August 31, 2012, SIOR Foundation matched
$72,579 in scholarships to 21 SIOR Chapters who awarded 93
students in 37 undergraduate and graduate real estate related
This year, The SIOR Foundation will grant up to
$75,000 in matching scholarship funds to SIOR Chapters. The Foundation encourages SIOR Chapters to solicit
for matching funds to augment or implement their own scholarship awards program.
GRANTS & PROGRAMS
In the fiscal year ending
August 31, 2012, SIOR Foundation matched over $16,000 to 11 SIOR
Chapters in support of educational programs, speaker fees and
community research projects.
Chapter Programs Grant
This year, The SIOR Foundation
will grant up to $21,000 in matching program grants. The Foundation encourages SIOR
Chapters to solicit matching program funds to help augment their

SIOR Chapter Matching Municipal Report Card w/Chapters
The SIOR Foundation will match up to $4,000 this fiscal year to cover Chapter
expenses related to conducting studies through university
partnerships that research the ways government business
processes affect commercial real estate transactions.

SIOR Foundation sponsored the development and launch of the SIOR internet-based educational program,
Ethics and Professional Standards. This program fulfills the Society membership requirement to complete training on the SIOR Code of Ethics which holds members to a much higher than industry standard.
